Tasmania

Tasmania is renowned for tourism and especially the Tasmanian Wine Tours. It is a beautiful island, named after the Dutch explorer Abel Tasman, and lies south of the mainland Australia, separated from it by the Bass Strait and is one of the states comprising the Common Wealth of Australia. It is called the Island of inspiration by its people and is the 26th largest island in the world surrounded by the Indian and Pacific oceans. It is sparsely populated and the census of June 2010 recorded a population of just over half a million, most of whom reside in the Hobart precinct of the state capital, Launceston in the north and Devonport and Bernie in the northwest.

Tasmanian Wine Tours are conducted by at least 13 major companies and they take you through the island that today still remains in its natural beauty without any negative impact from human activities. It is a haven for tourists from all over the world not only because of its picturesque views but also because of its weather. It has four climate seasons which comprise of relatively mild winter, autumn, spring and summer.
