As the temperature drops in the Hunter Valley with winter and the wind arriving in force. What a better time than now to organise your Private Wine Tour in the Hunter Valley. My partner and I were in Australia and coming from the Napa Valley we liked the idea of a private wine tour. Peter and his wife from Aussie Wine Tours turned out to be the best value for money deal. Peter looked after all the booking details [and thank goodness the Napa is so different] and Gail actually did the tour on the Saturday.

Their organisation, selection of wineries was nothing short of amazing. We had private tastings at all the wineries,were shown and tasted wines that were not on the tasting lists or said Not for Tasting. All the cellar staff at the tastings were so knowledgeable and friendly and Lunch was absolutely delicious.

The vehicles were comfortable and spotless the knowledge that Gail had of the wines and wineries and her service made us feel so special, nothing was a problem , even when we said we grow a lot of Zinfindel at home , she found us one here.

If you are planning a trip to the Hunter Valley then one company you have to call is Aussie Wine Tours because if you dont then you haven't seen the Hunter Valley the way you should have.

Well what a glorious weekend I  really like this time of year. The days a glorious and the nights a little chilly but nothing a good Hunter red or delicious Port wont fix not to mention the open fireplace in your accommodation.

I hope you are well. Apologies for my late response!

Below is a little blurb from me and the gang from our day (please feel
free to edit etc);

There could not be a better way of exploring the Hunter wine region than
with Peter from Aussie Wine Tours. We wanted a personal wine tour for
two couples (no buses and BBQ's) and Peter delivered. From being picked
up at the door of our cabin in Pokolbin, Peter personalised the day to
suit what we wanted. His connections with the local cellar doors meant
we had private wine tasting with premium wines not normally offered to
the general public.
We had a fantastic time, and it is the best wine tour any of us have
experienced.

Peter's limousine was so immaculately kept, and his gentlemanly manners
made us girls feel like rock stars (who doesn't like having the door
opened for them?).
